Sitting Is Bad for Your Health, But Not All Types of Sitting Were Created Equal
A new study suggests employees should be more concerned about lounging during their free time than sitting at work (TIME). Researchers found that participants who sat watching four or more hours of television per day had a 50% higher risk of heart issues and death. But after adjusting for health and lifestyle factors, the researchers found that “often or always” sitting at work was not associated with a heightened risk of either.
