Two National Healthcare Trade Publications Unite and Enlist Their Communities of Doctors, Staff and Patients in Concierge Medicine, Direct Primary Care (DPC) and Mobile Medical Environments To Help Show Their Support of Community Emergency Personnel By Launching “Stock the Station” Campaigns Across The U.S.
“There is more that unites these amazing and creative groups of Physician’s than divides them. We all must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single community. By starting a Stock the Station campaign in your area, the message of DPC becomes less about about a model and more about helping others.” ~Editor, Concierge Medicine Today, The DPC Journal
“We need to celebrate the charitable efforts these practices provide.” ~Dr. J.B., DPC Physician, Michigan

Taking Steps to Honor and Remember Our Nation’s Fallen Firefighters — The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs are not timed race events, but a way for firefighters and the community to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live. “They climb 3 and ½ times to make it the 110 floors.”
“If a medical practice, Fire Station or Doctor’s office closed tomorrow, what would we do?” said Michael Tetreault, editor of Concierge Medicine Today and The DPC Journal. “Medical providers, Fire Fighters, Police, Good Samaritan’s and EMTs in our community are always there for us. Fire Departments and First Responders safely navigate emergency situations. When they return back to the station, there is no parade or welcome basket for a job well done. Often times, this is a thankless job and their work is unappreciated until it is absolutely necessary. There is a disconnect between emergency personnel, Doctor’s offices and our communities and we need to fix that. It can deflate and de-energize the emergency personnel which we count on to help us in our times of need. We understand that the Concierge Medicine community of Physician’s, mobile medical Doctor’s and Direct Primary Care Physician’s are well-known for engaging in thoughtful and creative ways in their communities. We want to ignite these communities of Physician’s and unite their mission of caring for others by enlisting them to help their communities all across the country and share a list of simple items with their Patients that they take with them to their own local fire stations in their communities and say ‘Thank you!’

“There is more that unites Physician’s than divides them, yet commentary from Physician’s and blogs would lead you to think otherwise. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single community. We usually do this in times of crisis yet now we seem to be more separated from our communities and supporters in healthcare than ever. At Concierge Medicine Today and The DPC Journal, we are committed to identifying and exploring innovative ways to connect Physicians with their patients,” adds Tetreault. “Hospital systems, C-Suite level at insurance companies, clinical research and technology firms and others are interested in what is happening in the field of Concierge Medicine and Direct Primary Care. They recognize these types of doctors as early adopters of strategies and solutions. We can all play a role in helping people and that is particularly what this these Doctor’s are all about.”
